I thought it would be good to reflect back on my progress
since the last entry. My life has changed greatly
since then, but I am still very passionate about Art.
It is truly my life. Its difficult to imagine if my
life were different, where Art didn't involve in my
life. Within just a couple of years, I believe I've
matured much more, and closer to refining my talent,
skills, knowledge, and my style. I was very fortunate
to meet some people that left a great impression,
and never forget what I've learned from them. It's
difficult where I stand in Art, however, where my
beliefs of Fine Art and Computer Art is being torn
apart. I honestly don't know where I stand. Being
a Fine Artist and a commercial Artist is greatly different
from each other, especially their beliefs. Therefore,
I feel I will eventually have to choose one field
over the other, which brings both pain and sadness.
One reason I can think of feeling this way is how
my creative mind works. I work in a very unique way
with a unique workflow. I have very specific beliefs
(relating to my artworks) that determine how I do
everything I do. And, I feel I have to exist in both
fields to continue what I love to do. Of course, it
would be a dream someday doing my artwork as full
time while maintaining the cost of living. But, I
wonder how having money involved would change it.
Would I need to choose one belief over the other because
of income? Therefore, I am back to where I am now;
torn apart.

I loved Drawing ever since I was little. I have started
using Adobe Photoshop since version 4.5, and loved
the ability to create an artwork on the computer.
I always want to try to make something simple, but
also having an elegant, peaceful / calm look to it.
As of right now, I am attending college studying both
Art and Graphic Design. My dream / goal is to become
a Digital Illustrator someday. My first web site I
created was actually called Yos-Man’s Palace.
It was a site where I could play around and have fun
with. After some time, I wanted to make a much more
serious portfolio like site. I don’t really
remember how I came up with the name “Peace
of Mind,” but it seems the phrase fits my style
of artwork. I liked the first version of P.O.Mind
because of its simplicity, but it was limited to expansion.
The second version had a much bigger layout, and was
easier to work with, but I got bored with it rather
quick. I like this layout a lot more not only because
the change, but it has a simple, professional - look
to it. I guess we’ll see how long this layout
will last. I wish everyone a Peace of Mind.
